Hi mike,
You can play an important role in your father’s health and safety by becoming involved now. It sounds like on some level he knows that he is having difficulty driving, and is afraid to go out and to do his grocery shopping.

A company called Hire Image – http://www.hireimage.com — offers complete background checks for caregivers. There is a fee, but it will be well worth the peace of mind knowing you have hired a trustworthy caregiver. Also, ask the caregiver for at least 3 personal references and prior employment history, and talk to all of the personal references.
