Joel J. Forman is a Senior Accredited and Certified numismatic (coins and currency) appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). He has spent about 26 years as a professional appraiser. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Valuation Science from Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Missouri. Over the years, the highly regarded publication Coin World has published many of his articles, often on the Op-Ed page. He has donated most of his personal collection to 14 different national museums. Professional organizations include a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers, a life member of the American Numismatic Association, Appraisers On-Line and the Numismatic Association of Southern California.
