Hi, My dad is 72 years old, and he used to live alone in his apartment for years. Last month I came to my dad for the weekend, but he didn’t recognize me. At first, I thought that it was because of his age. He repeated the same several times. I took him to the doctor, and the doctor confirmed the worst. It was Alzheimer’s disease. I started to stay with him. So I took an extended leave from my job. As for now, I don’t have any help at home. I do everything he needs almost 24 hours a day. Cleaning, washing, ironing, and preparing food for him, help him with movement and walks. I want to see my daddy the same as earlier. I know it’s not possible, only a miracle could bring him back. Still, I wish so. Yesterday I got a call from my office to rejoin immediately in work. when I have to go out for some errands, I have to take him with me. It’s difficult to handle him outside. Thus I had to found a home care service for him. I approached several firms providing home health care service in Toronto. Before calling them, I would like to hear from you. If you have any experience with such services, Please let me know. Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
