While searching for assisted living facility, it is important to find out as much as you can on the entire range of services they offer, including sedentary activities, such as watching TV, listening to music. Ask whether staff or other residents participate in building a puzzle or playing a card game. I have heard one site giving its residents the opportunity to garden—putting hands into the soil, though admittedly, this is more an active activity, than passive.
