Many seniors I know, including my gramp, are scared about the idea of shooting laser beams into the eyes to correct vision. Corrective laser eye surgery has been around for a while and most youngsters and the middle-aged prefer this procedure than wearing glasses for god-knows-how-long.

The truth is- there is nothing to be afraid of unless the cornea was weak, to begin with. There are exceptional cases where you’ll have to inform the surgeon, for example, if you’ve had a cataract surgery the power calculation of the lens would be different. Also, ectasia is a rare phenomenon that might occur after several years.

It’s like going for a walk in the park and suddenly getting bitten by a small ant.

My granny had also undergone this surgery. She was quite cool 🙂
